Data Deletion

This page explains how users of WordPulse: Battle of Wits (developed by Coutts Consulting, LLC) can request deletion of their account and associated data.

How to Request Account Deletion

1. Option 1 - Delete in the app (Recommended): Go to Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account. Your account and all data will be deleted immediately.
2. Option 2 - Contact us via email: Send an email to app-support@coutts-consulting.com with the subject line "WordPulse Account Deletion Request"
   • Include the email address associated with your WordPulse account
   • Include your username (if you remember it)
   • We will confirm receipt within 2-3 business days and process the deletion immediately

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all your game history, statistics, and progress. All data is deleted immediately.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

• Account Information: Email address, username, password hash
• Profile Data: Profile photo, display name, user preferences
• Game Data: All game history, moves, scores, and statistics
• Device Information: Push notification tokens and device identifiers
• Communication Records: Any direct messages or support correspondence

What Data May Be Retained

No data is retained. When you delete your account, all of your personal information is immediately and permanently removed from our systems, including:

• Primary database records
• Backup systems
• Cache and temporary storage
• All associated files and media

Your data cannot be recovered after deletion.

Data Retention Period

All data is deleted immediately. When you delete your account:

• Your account is immediately deactivated
• All personal data is permanently deleted from our database
• Data is removed from all backup systems and caches
• No data remains in our systems after deletion

The deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

In-App Deletion

You can delete your account directly from the WordPulse app:

1. Open the WordPulse app
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Account Settings"
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
5. Confirm your choice

Your account and all associated data will be deleted immediately upon confirmation.
